Main Character

http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/read-up-on-it/015020-035000-e.html
In the book I'm currently reading (Break and Enter by Norah McClintock) the main character, Chloe is very determined, intelligent, witty and a bit sarcastic. Chloe is determined cause she can never really catch a break and now that someone is trying to frame her for cheating, vandalism and breaking into a car, she won't allow any thing to stand in the way of proving herself innocent. she uses her intellect to narrow down the suspects and try to bring them to justice. I find her quite witty and sarcastic because a lot of them time she will be sarcastic or think of a saith comment that would be hard to come up with on the top of one's head. To demonstrate her sarcasm I chose the following quot from the book. "Here." I said, taking a sheaf of paper out of my pocket. I was the essay Davis had given me at school. "Add this to your fire." (Norah McClintock, Break and Enter, pg. 124)
I think that Chloe will find the person who framed her but by doing so she will unravel a bigger mystery about who has been braking into the local cottages and who murdered Stanley Meadows.  I chose this video because in the book on of the things Chloe gets framed for is breaking into a car even though she didn't do it. I know there is bad language in his video however I feel it helps explain my point because the owner of the car is very upset just like Mr.Green in the book.
P.S. I checked with Mrs. McConkey.

What This Reminds Me Of...

In the book I'm currently reading, Break and Enter by Norah McClintock, the main character, Chloe, is walking through the park which is home to many cottages but because its not the summer many of the cottages are empty and as is the road. A pair of sunglasses catches her eye and when she decides to walk up the drive and return them she stumbles upon the died body of Stanley Meadows. This reminds me of when I go up  to my cottage in the winter to check on it. All the other cottages and trailers in the park are empty and closed up and there is never anyone in the park and that's what  I imagine the park that Chloe was in looks similar to. Sometimes when I'm at my cottage I'll see that someone left something they shouldn't have behind just like Chloe saw the pair of sunglasses and thought someone left them behind and she was going to return them.

Review It

http://allthecoolkidsread.blogspot.com/2010/10/speak.html
Hi Bloggers! The book I'm currently reading is not my favourite book so I'm going to review another book I've read. This book is called Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. The first time I read this book I thought it was awful and kind of disturbing but over the summer I thought I 'd give it another try. I feel in love with it then and even though many people believe it's a bad book  I really like it. It's about a freshman girl named Melinda Sordino who was raped and then called the police at the end of summer party and is now an outcast because many of her friends who were at the party got in trouble because of the under-age drinking that had been happening at the party. In my opinion the topic of teenage outcast and rape is a very hard topic to write about without offending anyone and I think Laurie does a fabulous job of giving emotions, details (but not too many) and describing what Melinda is going through.

Break and Enter

http://www.canadianauthors.net/m/mcclintock_norah/break_and_enter.php  Hey bloggers! I'm now reading another wonderful book by Norah McClintock called Break and Enter. Chloe has all ready gotten herself into trouble by not only lipping off to the new supsitute teacher and having him find a cheat sheet under her desk written in purple ink(the colour she uses) but of course its not hers. Then when the same teacher's car tire is punctured with the same purple pen and she doesn't deny that she did it to all the students congratulating her on her fine work she finds herself being mentioned on the fifth page of the paper. Even Levesque is beginning to have his doubts on whether or not she's guilty. Will our hero be found guilty or not or will she find herself in even more trouble?

scared to death

I have just finished reading Scared to Death by my all time favourite author  Norah McClintock. It is the forth book in the Chloe and Levesque series. in this thrilling adventure Chloe (the main character) tries to unfold the  murder of Tessa Nixon a girl who was found floating upside down in the pond. Many people believe it to be either Tessa's boy friend who she has been fighting with much more recently or Chloe's best friend, Ross, who had had a crush on Tessa for years and had been hanging out with Tessa for the past couple days before the day before her murder when she had said she wasn't interested in him. Chloe wants to believe Ross but at the same time she also wants to believe Jake. She gets herself wrapped up in a bad divorce, creepy men following and murders trying to to the same thing that they did to Tessa to her! She escapes death twice but will they catch up with her again? And will she be to escape it this time?  http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/read-up-on-it/015020-025000-e.html
